What do you guys think about my plans?

i am going to be a senior in HS come this august. we will be applying to colleges and the whole nine yards. i plan to attend a 4 year college and major in acting (not theatre), then move to LA and take about another year or two of classes to hone in on my acting potential. after the classes i will audition and whatnot to get a good, reliable agent so i can become a voice actor. ( cartoons and commercials and such). i just watched a movie and was thinking about acting and how hard it will be to start in such a competitive industry. do you think i should follow my dreams or look for something a bit more stable? please try to avoid being cliche and give your honest thoughts. i am really trying to get this all in order to avoid making any stupid mistakes. thanks in advance =D
